So I stood on the scale this morning and I was down 1.5lbs (157 is my current weight if you're keeping up). That's all that I had gained and an additional .6lbs. Thank you very much to the fiber I added to my diet. That's wonderful. I read up some more on working out and found that taking at least one day per week to let your muscles recoop is a good idea and can make workouts more effecient, same goes for getting enough rest at night. Also, the article says that cardio burns fat and strength training builds muscle. I think I knew this already but reading it over reminds me that I need both. Especially since 1lb of muscle can burn 50cal/day and 1lb of fat burns 2cal/day.
Yesterday I took it easy but today I want to do nothing. What is it about having my husband home that gives me the don't wants? I know that if I start to cut back now I will have a really hard time getting back into it. Every day it's a struggle for me to get started. Once I get started I feel great and often work out upwards of an hour each session...it's just GETTING started.
Ok. I'm going right now to do pilates, 10min buns and thighs, and maybe a 30min free step while I watch some tv. Then tomorrow I think I'll do 10min abs, tummy tone dance dvd (cardio and mat workout), and pilates. I do worry that I should be doing ALL the strength training EVERY day...but maybe giving my muscles a break to work on others will be more effecient.

You have to give them a chance to build back up...that's how you make the muscles build...breaking them down to build them up.
